This is an updated version of the Sundara-Kāṇḍam, an integral part of the Rāmāyaṇam. The original version captures essential aspects of the narrative, highlighting key events in the life of Lord Hanumāna, from his devotion to Lord Rāma to his journey to Laṅkā to find Sitā. Salient features of understanding Sanskrit poetry viz., पद-विभागः (word-separation), अन्वयः (sentence order), पद-परिचयः (word analysis), कारकसम्बन्धः (kāraka relations), सन्धि-विच्छेदः (sandhi-split) etc.

This initiative is taken by the team at IIT Roorkee striving to work towards the development of an e-reader on the Sundara-Kāṇḍa of Vālmīki-Rāmāyaṇam.

The current version follows modern textual analysis and tagging guidelines. The important events, dialogues, and verse structures are better annotated, providing a clearer understanding of the linguistic and narrative flow. New interpretations of key moments and relationships within the story are added to enhance comprehension and clarity.
